Exhibit shows loss of glaciers in Europe

A note in Nature (2004) reports on an exhibition of postcards with photos or paintings of European glaciers before the global warming of the 20^th century together with current photos. The results, assembled by W. Zangl and S. Hamberger, give dramatic evidence of the enhanced warming at high latitudes in Europe since the Industrial Revolution.
