Ultimately I want to work for the National Weather Service as a Meteorologist in Charge or a Science and Operations Officer. I would also like to lead research into better forecasting of severe weather and the events that go with them i.e. hail, tornadoes and damaging winds.
After obtaining my B.S. in Meteorology, I want to continue my education with graduate work in Atmospheric Dynamics/Physics with an emphasis on severe weather. I will also constantly improve my knowledge on the tools needed for numerical forecasting and apply those skills to severe weather. With these skills I hope to improve the understanding of what causes severe weather events and therefore improve upon the warning systems in place and ultimately save lives.
