May 6, 2007:

This was the day after my college graduation. Headed back home to Atlantic, where flooding was taking place. Also, during the night, a tornado hit Kent Muller's farm and grain elevator, which is only a few miles south from my parent's house. Here's a look at the aftermath...

Flooding near DeLong's.

Troublesome Creek out of its banks.

Approach Turkey Creek, heading south on Hwy. 6.

Nishnabotna River is out, north of Lewis on Hwy. 6.

Raging water.

At least the bridge is still visible.

Damage to a church south of Lyman.

Metal Building destroyed.

Part of Muller's Grain bin on Hwy. 71.

Another piece of the grain bin on the WEST side of the road.

Overturned trucks, damaged building.

A look at the devastation (looking north).

Giant grain bins destroyed.

Repairs being made to the house.

Damage to the shop.

Debris that collected in the fence line.

Debris littered in the field.
