June 7, 2007 (Twistex):

Left Sioux Falls that morning, heading east on I-90. Encountered storms popping on the dryline near Alber Lea, MN. We were able to get ahead of the storms as we continued on I-90. Continued to just east of St. Charles, and we decided to head south to take a look at the southen storm on the line. This storm quickly became outflow dominant, near Rushford, MN, but luckily a new storm was forming to the south a bit. We journeyed south a bit more, and watched the new storm quickly develop. We observerd a passing RFD and that was about it, as the storm was racing to the northeast at about 80mph! Followed the storm to La Crosse (our original chase target) before it got away from us. We decided to make one last go at a storm further to the south. We met paths near the Wisconsin Dells, but once we got out of the Dells, this storm also raced away from us. One of those days...
