This tutorial is ment to help people download archived radar data from the National Climatic Data Center using FileZila. The NCDC allows users to download data via a FTP client (like FileZilla) or a website that requires you to click and save each file indivudually. Using FileZilla speads up this process because you can drag and drop all files. So the first step is to download FileZilla, if you havn't already. You can download FileZilla Here Next is to order the data you want on the NCDC website: NCDC website Just click on the radar site you want Choose either Level-II or Level_III depending on which Gibson Ridge product you have. Soon you should recieve an e-mail that looks like this: ! Now, open FileZilla, it should look like this: ! In the upper-left; click "File" and click on "New Site" ! Put"ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov" in the site field; keep the login as anonyomous (Normal also works with "anonyomous" as username. A login will pop up and you just enter your e-mail as the password) ! Now, to get to your files put the file path that came in the e-mail in the "Remote Site" field, and press enter. Like so: ! The files on the left are the radar files. Just select them all and drag them to the right. You can change where you download them by clicking the icons on the right. !
