Send in forecasts to editor@iowastatedaily.com by 4:30pm before your scheduled day, for instance I am scheduled for Friday so I would send in my 3 day forecast by 4:30pm on Thursday.
Procedure:
The format for forecasting will be very similar to what was done during the past semester. I have put together an example template for a 3-day forecast. It will be very similar to previous
forecasts, but refrain from repeating the high and low in the 3-Day Detailed section since it is already being stated in the high/low section. One thing brought to my attention was that we should
try to make each day’s forecast all similar lengths so that it has a neater appearance in the paper.
Fun Fact:
Go to this website http://www.weatherforyou.com/history/ and choose a fun fact to be printed into the daily for the first day you are forecasting for. Add this into the email
and specify that this is the fun fact.
