3-9: Impact of Global Change on Agriculture

Evaluation of the impact of climate change on agriculture must be considered at the US level and at the global scale. Cynthia Rosenzweig and Daniel Hillel provide an overview of both in their essay in Consequences. A more recent and much more voluminous assessment of the impact of climate change on US agriculture was completed in 2002 and can be obtained from the website of the US Global Change Research Program . For our purposes in this course, the Consequences article will be sufficient reading.
