Hello! My name is Samantha Santeiu. Welcome to my online portfolio! This portfolio began as a part of my Mteor 201: Introductory Seminar class, and has grown since then to include my summer research experiences and extracurricular activities. My meteorology portfolio includes my four-year class schedule, educational and professional goals, course justifications, and information about my studies and my senior thesis project. I grew up in Dearborn Heights, MI, just outside of Detroit. I became interested in weather at an early age, and as I grew older the interest in weather grew as well. I have always excelled in math and the sciences, and I have always loved nature and weather. Combining those led me to choose meteorology as my major. Iowa State has an excellent undergraduate program and I have never regretted my attendance there. I enjoy all my classes, especially the meteorology courses, but make time to add in the occasional arts and humanities classes to broaden my learning. After earning my Bachelor's degree in May 2012 I will attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to obtain my Ph.D. in atmospheric science.
