Storm Chasing
Chase Day Recaps
Gibson Ridge Radar Software
If you are a weather nerd then this is an essential for you. Tired of those poor resolution NWS radar webpages? Tired of the RAP website using poor color tables?
Do you want your own street level doppler radar ON YOUR LAPTOP?! Well wait no further because Gibson Ridge Radar Software is here. One of the best gifts I have
ever recieved. I personally use GR2Analyst, but the cheaper GRLevel3 is out there with just as much great stuff.
You can purchase GR at the following webpage: GRLevelX

My storm chasing experience all starts with the car. I drive a 1999 Toyota Corolla LE that has been
through alot with me including an engine replacement. Inside the car I have a dell latitude
d620 laptop with Microsoft Streets and Trips 09 installed along with a GPS locater. Also I have both
Gibson Ridge Level 3 Radar software and Level 2 Analyst. For internet access I use Verizon's phone
as modem option, aka tethering, which gives my laptop near broadband speeds on the road if I am
recieving an EVDO signal on my phone. I also use internet chats to stay in touch with fellow
meteorology majors back home who have better internet to look over the whole setup.
